About RUAYDI
Rural and Urban Aid For Youth Development Initiatives (RUAYDI) — formerly known as Youth Focus Initiatives — is a registered Nigerian civil society organization established in 2008. We are recognized by UNODC and Nigerian federal authorities and operate across Kwara and Ekiti States.
Our Mission
To empower youth in rural and urban Nigeria and West Africa through capacity building, advocacy, and community-driven initiatives that promote social inclusion, healthy lifestyles through agriculture, entrepreneurship and vocational training — guaranteeing youth security and sustainable development programs.
Our Vision
A society in which young people are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities necessary to contribute positively to their communities and to national development — and where drug dependent persons can be counselled, rehabilitated and reintegrated.
Our History
Founded in 2008, RUAYDI has grown from a grassroots initiative into a recognized civil society organization engaging with national and international partners. In 2023, our NGO representative was named overall best performer in the United People Global Biashara Program.
